Co-President Katie Bishop
Katie is currently a junior in the College of Arts and Science majoring in Chemistry. Prior to coming to Penn, Katie was a cadet at the United States Air Force Academy. Though she is no longer an active duty service member, she remains passionate about the military and how she can impact the lives of those that serve.

In addition to Veterans' Life Stories, Katie is also a tutor and the VP of Internal Affairs for the Satellite Learning Program, an undergraduate research assistant at PARC at Penn Presbyterian, and the VP of Treasury for the Invizibles. Co-President Jessica Abene
Jessica is currently a junior in the School of Nursing pursuing a double major in nursing and nutrition. In the future she plans on completing a higher education to move into the career of clinical education. Freshman year, Jessica felt drawn to VLS due to her family’s service in the marines.
Besides serving as co-president in VLS, Jessica works on the Speaker Committee in Penn’s Special Olympics Club. She is also a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority and the tutoring center. In her free time Jessica likes volunteering and working out.
